| Peace, My point is clear! The above dance is "baryood"! And it's not called "Zailaci"! I gave U my reasons! And if the Ogaadeen dance this, it doesna mean that it's Ogaadeeni! I used to do the "TWIST"! It didna make me Chubby Checker! Furthermore, U've to decide whether the above dance is Zeylaci or Ogaadeeni... Heheh!!! |

| Peace, 30 yrs. ago, when i passed thru Zeyla3 en route from Djibouti to Hargeisa, it was a "GHOST town". Its proximity to Djibouti has rendered it so.. "Audal" used to be a great place.. (the gateway of 'Sufi' Islam to Northern Somalis and Oromos... it and Harar)... Not anymore. U say U know better! And that U saw folks dancing "Hirremaahee".... I wonder who got married thar? Somali dances: (Gebley-shimbir, beerrey, walasaqo, seylici, dhaanto, jaan dheer, hoolebe iyo hirimaahee.) |

| OK, If you know the dance and the clans and sub-clans and the regions the clans live. why you asking me the question?! Garabsare: Tell us, the region in "bari" people do this type of dance?! lol P.S. the first dance is called "zaylac" and the dance originated from zaylac. and the second is called "buulo" and the people in galgaduud,hiiraan, and shabbeles regions do the dance. |

You can't claim the "zaylac" dance nor the "buulo" dance of shabbele Regions. cos, the inhabitants of Dir dawa down to zaylac do the first dance and The second dance is "buulo" Go to my page and see real zayleci/Dir Dawa people still doing the dance and singing the same song. |

| Pax vobis, Have i contested the "buulo"? I've limited myself to "the Hirimmaahee" and that, friend, is known as the Bari dance.... That doesn't mean it originated in "Puntland"! Erigavo is 'bari' to most folks in Hergeisa! Hehehe!!! Hear's another'un.... "Hirimma-dubbe, Hirimooy... Hirimma-Kaana Boosaasay! Sari dhag! Sari dhag!" Have U heard that one, friend? | I am very sure dat dis dance is not zailici, its mostly played in weddings and other celebrations by reer galbeyd. zailici is more complex dances which is influenced and consist of many cultures as zailac was a port, the lyrics of the many dances are arabic, hindi,and afari but mostly somali. I love dancing zaylici as i was taught by my grandad who grew up in zailac and my parents. |
