| Question: Are you really orthodox? Or you are COPTIC monophysite HERETICS? Monophysitism (from the Greek monos meaning 'one, alone' and physis meaning 'nature'), or Monophysiticism, is the HERESY that believes that Christ has only one nature (divine), as opposed to the ORTHODOX Chalcedonian Ecumenical Council in year 451 which holds that Christ has two natures, one divine and one human. | Wow, I didn't know that. Seems you're right, Ethiopian is separated from coptic, but holds to monophysite belief. Still it's not only one, divine nature, but a nature that is a mix (divine+human). Still, it is wrong. We believe in hypostatic union (divine AND human, two distinct natures) |

| The most important thing is salvation. One simple question that we have to ask is this. If today is our last day on earth what is going to happen to us are we going to heaven or are we going to hell because we have refused to repent of our sins. The bible it clerly tell us salvation is only tghrough Jesus Christ he paid for our sins. |

| My brother Theodor 1Romania: I want to say Just a few words on two orthodox churches: We orientals believe that Jesus has both Human and devine Nature at the same time. We believe Him to be God and Lord. Though it is deep theology,it is possible to discuss which concept is right. But I want to remind you that the two churches (oriental and eastern) met in 1990 and afirm that they have the same faith on Jesus except the terms they use (one nature and two nature). |

| Cont. to Theodor1Romania The stance of two natures in one was too close to the Greek philosophy/belief of demigods or bastard children of the pagan gods llike Hercules, Perseus, etc. I personally believe that Jesus Christ is 100% God & 100% Man that is inseperable, indivisible,and this is the reason He is the Mediator btw The Father & mankind. | My messages are in the reverse order so read them starting 2 replies below: It's sad that the Roman church & eastern orthodox church split over what!- more political bureacracy when you get to the root of it. Words in different regions can mean different things, which always caused confusion when you try to translate it. Which happens with many Greek worlds when trying to translate them. But always remember, that there is salvation outside of the churches, BUT not outside of JESUS CHRIST! |
