Economically? Yes Haveing both Economies of Eritrea and Ethiopia merged would do wonders for our economies. Just look at how the Eu panned out. Physically and Politically? NO We Eritreans, especially Tigrinya peoples may be similar but we are not the same, plus we have tribes who wouldn't ever associate themselves with Ethiopia.

Behind this façade of euphoria (like a North Korean parade), lies a horror story of tens of thousands in prison, hundreds of thousands under slave labor, a whole generation fleeing the nation and a whole population under totalitarian grip. It is the same celestial image that China used to portray during the Great Leap Forward while millions of its people were starving to death. It is indeed sad to see great talents like Helen perpetuating this misery.
