Sweat shops are not ... ( 2 days ago by UN0H00)
Sweat shops are not technically illegal. in indonesia the minimum wage is 2 58$ per week. It is a question of morality in large companies and the government who does nothing about human rights violations in sweatshops because they want the money because it is A CAPITALIST country! and it is the governments fault that they let companies get away with it!

the whole reason RATM makes music it to put a political point acrossm and that point is that society and the system is fucked and ordinary people need to take it into their own hands to change it.
here here, comrade. ... ( 1 day ago by j0ofez)
here here, comrade. it seems most of the epsilon semi-morons on this fucking website have no idea what communism is. there has never been any such thing as a communist country, only state capitalist!
Communism is a good ... ( 1 day ago by Nollis)
Communism is a good as an idea, but it doesn't work when put to action, as has been shown to us by the great countries of Soviet Russia ja Communist China. Add North-Korea to the mix too.
Not sure what those ... ( 1 day ago by dufvasven)
Not sure what those countries has to do with communism (except they might call themselves that), but communism is based on equality and "from each according to his ability and to each according to his needs". China and North Korea is about the opposite of that. Anybody who calls them communism or worse, socialist countries, don't realize what those words really should mean.
Capitalism and ... ( 1 day ago by supermanga92)
Capitalism and comunism does not work, both fueled by greed. Humanity does not deserve democracy since we cant handle it. Get it?

these were not ... ( 1 day ago by kelly980)
these were not communist countries in any meaninglful sense of the word. They were actaully state-capitalist dictatorships which is something quite different. However it suits the leaders of these countries to claim to their people that they are pursuing communism and are in favour of equality etc. And it also suits leaders of capitalist countries to say that n. korea, soviet russia etc are "communist" in an attempt to portray communism as a system that doesnt work.
'communism is based ... ( 23 hours ago by theoutlawjoseywales)
'communism is based on equality' You must've meant to say 'forced equality'. Otherwise, how do you deal with those who possess ability but refuse to use it? So the question is really one of basic self-determination, i.e. do people own themselves, or does the collective? I cannot be convinced to believe that an idividual does not own himself. Therefore, anarchy based on the principles of individual sovereignty, non-aggression, and mutually-voluntary cooperation becomes the only just system.
Well, why refuse to ... ( 22 hours ago by dufvasven)
Well, why refuse to use your ability? I'm quite certain that a lot of people "get" a lot from being the one doing the most... I mean, helping others is helping yourself to feel meaningful. The ones that have to be helped are the poor ones, even in capitalist societies, nobody wants to be the 'loser' who is helped by others. In communism, society would prevent as many people from getting that low a position. I think the common good is a endless motivator if you've been used and taught the ideal.
You may assume most ... ( 21 hours ago by theoutlawjoseywales)
You may assume most people to be good natured and selfless, and this may even be true in many cases. But that doesn't address those individuals who aren't, so we still have to answer the question of what is to become of them? My point is that, unless you are willing to sanction the use of force in enforcing the collective paradigm, you are not advocating capital-C Communism at all. Rather, you are proposing an anarchy with scattered communes based solely on voluntary participation.
You can argue that ... ( 18 hours ago by O3PEHKO)
You can argue that Communism worked very well in Yugoslavia, and it did during the life of Tito, but with the passing of the Communist leader in a country dominated by several ethnic groups with three main religions, the bloodshed becomes inevitable. What we saw in the later stages of the breakup of Yugoslavia was a game of divide & conquer by the neocolonialist powers, and Kosovo is a perfect example of this. False media reports, hoaxes to keep the masses busy while concealing the true agenda.
Well, those that ... ( 12 hours ago by dufvasven)
Well, those that don't want to work for the common good... they would have to cope with the system or not have a system at all. It's like me in a capitalism society, I too work, consume and feed the capitalist with my efforts even if I don't believe in it, but if I started to go against the rules, start ripping the upper class mansions apart, I'd end up in jail. So that's the only (not that great) solution? Keeping them away till they decide the system is okay. :P
