Somalia has become the world's foremost "failed state," with no functioning government, more than one million refugees, and each street corner run by a different warlord -- some aligned with the West, and some not.
Earlier this week the United Nations brokered a peace deal between one small opposition faction and the Transitional Federal Government, which was set up in 2004 and controls some parts of Somalia.
But many analysts do not expect much improvement in the country's lot.

Ethiopia is the main problem, Somalia did come together after 15 years of turmoil in June of 2006. Until late December 2006 Somalis were experiencing a peace they never had for the last 15 years. Since Ethiopia invaded Somalia more people have been killed in the last year and half than in 15 years of turmoil. More innocent people have been migrated for fear of violence. Ethiopian regime is the main problem, Somalis should never have allowed Tigres into Somalia in the first place, major mistake.
