| Why are Somalis so obsessed with unity? empty words of unity Unity can only exist if both party or contries in this case agree to it. Obviously the Somaliland party opted out of Somali unity when they declared independence in 1991 in Burci, henceforth, the union between Somalia and Somaliland 1960-1991 is is null and void. Somalia needs to get its act together and stop obsessing over unity with Somaliland, only then can Somalia lift itself out of chaos and follow in the footsteps of Somaliland. |

The other thing is, there are some countries who had civil war and then they unite and become one country. So somalia is experiecing the same thing. Don't see Somaliland as a negetive, see it as positive because we will remain brothers and sisters if Somaliland is recognized internationally. | Qawdhan thanks for this great channel and video. I believe for Somaliland theres no way back, to unite with Somalia. Where went into an agreement to unite and were not treated as equal partners but as second fiddle to the south. So how can we trust Somalia if they are not going to treat us as equal.
