Somalia has become the world's foremost "failed state," with no functioning government, more than one million refugees, and each street corner run by a different warlord -- some aligned with the West, and some not.
Earlier this week the United Nations brokered a peace deal between one small opposition faction and the Transitional Federal Government, which was set up in 2004 and controls some parts of Somalia.
But many analysts do not expect much improvement in the country's lot.

Somali people have very strong connections. All they need is to forget the Past and unite. Somali problems may be intractable, but some of the blame here must go to outsiders . The international community saying they have the solution solutions for Somalia. Year after year their suggestions fail miserably. If the international community wanted to help they should respect the wishes of the Somali people they are trying to help not impose their ideology.
