Every drug you take ... ( 1 month ago by knowfuture22172)
Every drug you take has its own consequences and if you do too much you get "punished" by your brain and body being fucked up and your wallet being emptied. Adding punishment on top of it is double jeopardy and that's unconstitutional. The war on drugs is unwinnable and a waste of taxpayer money. We're paying more and more and putting more and more people in jail because a bunch of crooked old fucks in Washington won't admit they're wrong.
The privatization ... ( 1 month ago by hurgle)
The privatization of prisons in America has likely done more to undermine the concepts of truth and justice than any of the bogus "Homeland Security" measures, and yet the former has received far less press time than the latter.

Your straight edge. ... ( 1 month ago by SilentBob20)
Your straight edge. Good for you, really. But that doesn't mean that people like you or the government for that matter should tell us who choose to use cannabis and medical patients who can live a longer and healthier life with cannabis that we can't use it. There will never be a world where no one smokes cannabis. And prohibition just makes it worse because crime increases and it's a complete waste of our tax dollars. The time is NOW to end the prohibition and the time is NOW to end the war!

One major obstacle ... ( 1 month ago by sansured)
One major obstacle to ending this disastrous and ineffective prohibition is battling and overcoming the massive enforcement business that will be displaced, ie., prison builders lobbying for mandatory drug sentences. Having been a hard core anti legalization proponent my entire life, only recently in the face of overwhelming evidence and at the urging of people that I respect have I done a 180 on this subject.

It's nice to see so ... ( 3 weeks ago by zbouaerg)
It's nice to see so many people capable of rational thought gathered here. The video itself (and reality) doesn't leave much space for reasonable anti legalization arguments, mostly because there are none. Another point worth mentioning is that all this antidrug thing has left drug users feeling "socially sinful", ergo the simplest, in my opinion, argument rarely appears: "drug X is something i enjoy and in enjoying it, i don't harm anyone", which is the case with most casual users. ougk

to be fair, the dutch system is easily exploited, your only allowed to buy 5 grams, from one shop, but theres over 100 coffee shops in amsterdam alone, i think you can see the flaw, but saying that it is illegal to carry any more then 5 grams, i like the credit card system but theres gotta be some rule about refusing cash like an issue of artificially devaluing legal tender.

First let me tell ... ( 1 day ago by msimpso1)
First let me tell you that I was involved in a serious vehicle accident back in 2006 in which I almost lost my life. I was not at fault! Prescription medication was helpful but had bad side-effects. I smoke Marijuana now...And, in private such as anyone of us would do with our medications, and I am a responsible user. I am not a criminal nor a bad person. I just know what works for me! I'm back in school now, working on my degree! Humanities this semester...arrrrg!!! PEACE...Namaste
