This is a very great tribute to are troops. My cousin has served 5 years in Iraq and has a wife and a kid. Im just happy that he finally got out of Iraq and is now back in America. God bless our troops

yea and? doesnt mean that these men and women aren't putting their life on the line for all of us selfish people to have great lives. i have lost 2 of my closest friends fighting over there. and two of my brothers and 7 of my friends are over in iraq...you have no idea what they go through. its something i wish no one would ever go through. weather its propaganda or not..you need to support our troops.

im in JROTC and being in it has tuaght me great things but i have learned from my teacher what it means to fight for something you love. basically this country. this song goes great with the national gurad and all the other military people. god wwatch over them all

LOL, I would like to know why my comment pointing out the lack of minorities in this video was voted down. How many people really think that Jose Ramirez or Tyron Jackson will identify with all of these white faces? Only one non White face is shown in the whole video, a 4 second clip of a Black Women receiving a medal. Are you people blind? Do you really want to rally around such a exclusive piece of propaganda?

awsome video... i support the troops... i pray that the troops stay safe and god bless them who served this country. my dad has served for this country and for all of our freedom rights. he was deployed for 2years and is probably gonna be deployed again in 2010. i know im plannin on signin up to serve for this country. *salutes the troop* :) great vid.

not quiet sure what you are trying to say ... This video won't encourage many minorities to enlist in the National Guard (although other advertisements will) as they don't see minorities being represented in the video. It is amazing how this video could actually have been distributed, minorities make up 20%+ of the National Guard, and throughout the entire 211 second video we see one Minority and for 4 seconds ...

I love the guard. Almost joined. Still I'm going active duty pretty soon (ROTC scholarship so officer!) I wish active duty did more civil service, but I wanted to be a full time soldier, so active duty. Good luck guardsmen. You guys rock.

LOL I haven't called anyone a racist. I don't know why Punkedup88 is calling me a conspirator, whatever that is, he makes it sound like I am trying to overthrow the government. The video only has two minorities visible, both in the same scene, and that scene lasts 4 seconds. I find it amazing that such a video would be cut and released after that whole Army of One media campaign where every face was represented. Must forms of media go out of the way to show as many races as possible.

And the Armed Forces (including the National Guard) is already really diverse. I really don't see how any African American, East Asian, or Hispanic will watch this video and think themselves, HECK YA I WANT TO BE A CITIZEN SOLDIER. whether it was intentional or not, I doubt that anyone but White Americans really enjoy this advertisement. As for the revolutionary war, Indians and Africans fought on both sides, however this video is trying to link the National Guard with those rag tag militias.

And yes I call those fighting at Lexington and Concord a rag tag militia. George Washington was also nothing more than a Wealthy Aristocrat, who ruled his estate like an Autocrat (the man was the richest American and a slaveholder of over 4,000 souls). Nothing noble existed about the "founding fathers," although out of their tribalistic system emerged the greatest form of government to have been creating by man. Being a Muslim of South Asian decent I have no love for the British.

Anyways, I doubt that many in this country actually even realize that George Washington, Alexander Hamilton, Thomas Jefferson, and Aaron Burr were essentially no different than Saddam Hussein, Kemal Ataruk, Zulqiraf Ali Bhutto, Robert Mugabe, or Hugo Chavez. Wealthy aristocrats who sold out their countries whenever it benefited them. Aaron Burr attempted to build an empire from American territory, and Thomas Jefferson refused to testify against him.
