| they are not worshiping the people. They are showing respect to the people because they are elders and have the spirit of god within them. We Ethiopians aren't "donkoro" as you called as we don't worship anyone but God. thanks for uploading this video |

| Alright, I'll admit I don't speak the narrator's language, but I still found this to be very interesting. While I'm of white European descent, I've actually read the Kabra Nagast (I hope I'm spelling it right) as well as a book about the art of the Ethiopian Orthodox Church. Did you know they have holy sites in Ethiopia made up to be exact replicas of sites in the Holy Land for those who can't go to Jerusalem themselves? And they're not worshiping the Patriarch. Research before you criticize. |

| I agree. But as an outsider living in a country where the nearest Ethiopian Orthodox church is like five states away (I live in New York, in America) my only recourse is research. I am a former Roman Catholic in the process of joining the Antiochian Orthodox Church, but I do have the utmost respect for the Ethiopian Orthodox Church. May God Bless. |
