| Let me first say that I love this song and the Wailers as a whole, but sorry gang...This song is NOT live. No one is playing the clavi solo (there is NO guitar solo in this song) and there are no drum microphones. This was wither a full mime or had heavy overdubbing. Most likely, they sang over an instrumental track. |

| This was the "Whistle Test" - it was live. It was a late night hard core show on BBC2 as opposed to "Top of the Pops" on BBC1 which was not live. |

| Definitely not live. The whole record "Catch a Fire" is overdubbed in London. The original recordings you can buy on CD, they are much rougher and don't have that twangy keyboard. Notice Peter Tosh is faking the keyboard piece on his guitar for the video, but it is actually a keyboard. Actually a guy from Texas wrote the keyboard piece for this song. There is an interview where he talks about first hitting those notes and Bob comes running in forcing a joint down his throat. |
