The Children of Ethiopia Education Fund (COEEF) is a nonprofit organization that is dedicated to providing quality education to young girls in Ethiopia. The funds for the program are provided through sponsorships and grants from generous individuals and corporations throughout the United States, Canada, Switzerland, England, Israel, and New Zealand. Currently over 600 girls are being given the opportunity to attend high quality private schools in 4 regions of Ethiopia. The girls in the program, because of their lack of financial means to go to school, are provided with uniforms, tuitions, books, and all supplies needed.
'Mesgana' means 'Gratitude or Thankfulness' in the Ethiopian Amharic language. The girls are all COEEF students and range in age from 7 to 12. Meseret Defar, Olympic Gold Medalist in Athens in the 5k and current world champion, is the honorary director of the 'Mesgana Dancers'.

I would like to extend my appreciation to the Proomotor for helping Ethiopian Children. It shows there are some Jenuine Americans who care about Ethiopians and the whole world. God bless them. I also want to send a message to those who write on this page to be more civili in your writing. Give credits to the promotors who spent their valuable time hours and days to help people like Ethiopians. It's not their God given responisibilities to do this. So give them credits.

I hope this man practice what he talked. because, the news that is reported, in regard to children sexual abuse. It come from care providers, protestant and catholic priests and mostly are white. Therefore, I am suspicious about the whole thing because in our culture no such problem so children and parents are naive& can be exploited

Rasxillinx- I help my people, and disseminating information about American pastors is 1 help'. To sexually abuse children, Charity has been used as cover; "Help" is second importance, dignity come first. They help, but with that molestation is inevitable. Watch the news. I have actually seen these girls live!! They are beautiful. I have also came across this organization (COEEF) and saw all the good deeds it is doing to thses children. I really think the kids are in a very safe hand and benefits from these programmes a great deal. The founder and the staff of these organization (COEEF) need to be praised!!!
