yes it does mean ... ( 1 month ago by paulguy89)
yes it does mean Marine special operations command. uh their mission is still similar to the former force recon, but they have adopted some of the roles you would see being performed by an army green beret( training locals and goin out and fighting with them later. yes marines are very hardcore but when basic marines say they are better than other units, such as rangers and special forces, thyre just being prideful. they each have different missions to carry out
amen to that. when ... ( 1 month ago by paulguy89)
amen to that. when people say one unit is better than the other, you have to ask better at what? what the hell are they talking about? better at shooting people? i dont get it
How is the 416 even ... ( 1 month ago by einsatzdeath)
How is the 416 even tactically differant than any other AR-type? The XM8 was shit same as the Mk 23, which is a USP. The XM8 is made by HK, as well. What the hell are you talking about?
I think you ... ( 1 month ago by ArmaHeavy)
I think you misunderstood what I was saying. I CAN'T GET A CONNECTION TO ANY H&K WEAPON. By the way the XM8 just beat out the SCAR in a reliabilty test
That's cool. I ... ( 1 month ago by einsatzdeath)
That's cool. I think the SCAR is lame, and I think FNH is top-notch too. The 416 is the way too go. Gas-piston ARs are simply the best assault rifles in existence.
Now it's just me ... ( 1 month ago by ArmaHeavy)
Now it's just me and a friend that can't connect to the 416. I AM NOT SAYING IT'S A BAD WEAPON. The 416 is a very reliable weapon, I just could develop a personal connection to it. Also I was issued an old ass 249 one time that just would not stay clean. Had 6 people working on that damn thing wiping it down with cotton balls and everything, and it just kept getting shitty almost by MAGIC.

are these marines using full auto M4A1 SOPMOD rifles, or M4 Carbines with burst fire?
Rangers are light ... ( 2 weeks ago by t3mpo83)
Rangers are light infantry units, they're about the same as Marines which are also known to be an elite light infantry unit. Of course the Army having tons of more money than the Corps get fancy weapons but they're still light infantry like the Marine Corps. Both are trained in Urban combat in the same methods. Army Special Ops and Delta of course are way better than a Marine, but a Ranger is about the equivalent of a standard infantry Marine.
ok first off ... ( 2 weeks ago by paulguy89)
ok first off Rangers are part of US.Special operations Command, which means they are ARMY special ops. a ranger is better trained than a basic marine, tons of marines report to ranger school every year, mostly guys trying to becom recon marines. If you dont believe me look it up on the ranger school web site. It's a pre requisite for recon qualification. There would be no need for this if basic marines had the same intensity of training. 3out 4 pass marine bootcamp. Rangers 70% dropout rate
I can see both ... ( 1 week ago by GordonALWAYS)
I can see both points here. SEALs spend three years of individual and platoon training before being deployed. They dont waste that time but as Einsatz clearly pointed out, they dont have an infantry background so they lack the proper background for certain engagements.
Ive heard more than a few stories about SEALs wasting ammunition in Iraq. According a few Marine grunts I've heard, they say SEALs dont have much fire discipline.
I smell horse shit. ... ( 1 week ago by GordonALWAYS)
I smell horse shit.
1) Most PJs didn't join the Air Force to be PJs because they are too new and unheard of.
2) Air Force boot camp is a joke. It doesn't prepare anyone for anything but flying a predator drone...sitting on your ass.
BUD/S has a two week Indoc which drops 95% of SEAL candidates. BUD/S itself drops 60% of SEAL candidates. Another 3% of BUD/S grads dont make it to be SEALs. You have to be selected to go to BUD/S and no one knows how many drop there.

Rangers are ALMOST as good as a marine says a ranger himself that I know.

First of all ... ( 1 week ago by kwa24488)
First of all GordonALWAYS you have no idea what you are talking about since Air Force PJs have been around since 1946, and most of the people that are PJs join the Air Force to become PJs since you have to take a PAST test just to get a GTEP contract to go to INDOC. And how do you know that Air Force Boot camp is a joke, are you active duty?
I believe we both ... ( 1 week ago by GordonALWAYS)
I believe we both have no idea.
Any infantry Marine ... ( 6 days ago by einsatzdeath)
Any infantry Marine can go to Ranger school. Slots open up quite a bit, sometimes not getting filled. It's not a pre-req for recon at all. The thing you don't seem to realize is that most Rangers haven't even been to Ranger school. It's a leadership school, and you need to be tabbed in to lead. All you need to do to get to the 75th is RIP. Ranger school is very tough, but if you don't think Marines train with intensity, you've definitely never been around to see it.
Air force boot camp ... ( 6 days ago by einsatzdeath)
Air force boot camp is a joke, everyone knows that. It's a joke told pretty frequently. If someone said it was a hard time, I would assume they are drastically overweight, sleep over ten hours a day, and have emotional problems. Oddly, the character I've described could probably be a PJ. The PJs are worthless. They'd be a distraction on the battlefield if they ever made it there. I can't think of a single notable feat that the PJs have done, and I doubt you can either.
All rangers must go ... ( 6 days ago by paulguy89)
All rangers must go through ranger school to be in the 75th, you can go to RIP only
, but you will not be in the 75th ranger regiment, and will return to your original unit. And I never said Marines dont train hard, just simply impying that Rangers have a notch on regular infantry marines. I do give the CORPS props, they train hard, but dont over rate them to look like they train harder than everyone else, which is the mistake the mainstream makes
Hey give those guys ... ( 6 days ago by paulguy89)
Hey give those guys respect, they have a job and put their lives on the line just like any other soldier or marine. Remember that incident where a team of SEALs was ambushed , and only one survived in afghanistan? A chopper of more seals a couple rangers, was sent in to get them out but was shot down and all died, well there was a PJ among them aswell. There were also a couple PJ who helped delta and rangers in Somolia. If they are worthless i think the military would discontinue them
Rangers are better ... ( 6 days ago by paulguy89)
Rangers are better trained, than regular marines says my bro who is a ranger, and even my neighbor who was a marine himself, I'm also in the army, so I really dont need to hear it from them. I'll be the firt soldier to say that marines do have one up on regular soldiers though. Plus Rangers are so prideful that I find it hard to believe that one would ever say what you have claimed
SEALs burn through ... ( 6 days ago by paulguy89)
SEALs burn through ammo because of the fact that they operate in very small groups, even as small as 4. If they come under fire they must be able to achieve fire superiority, over the enemy, to do this they need to lay down a crap load of suppressive fire

hey einsatsdeath, you've responded to like every comment! that makes you SO cool, doesnt it?
nobody cares if you were military or know things, you're nothing but a know-it-all cunt who needs to feel awesome on youtube.
Of course Rangers ... ( 10 hours ago by USMCsonnyMnguyen)
Of course Rangers have a notch on regular infantry Marines. but you cant compare the two, Rangers are part of the Army Special Operations. Thats two whole different levels. Marine infantry will outdo any Army infantry.

Haha. I respond to comments addressed to me. Every few days someone from this page sends something to my inbox. Someone like you!
If you're really the singer of Dillinger Escape Plan, let me say that that's a SHIT band. Haven't been good for years. Mike Patton made it cool for a minute, and then after that it just ripped off how he sings. No one listens to that garbage any more, and for a good reason. Mastodon is the only good math-metal band.
