| In malaysia we have different environment whereby our leader need to develop every part of Malaysia from the city to the ORNG ASLI in the jungle throughout malaysia. It is much easier to manage a country that have the same size as a small state rather than developing a country that have 14 state. Singapore are already developed when it was under the British colonial.There are defferences in the environment, you guys just lucky thats all. |

| I don't wish to go to a lengthy explanation of how we conduct ourselves.But when a contract is signed and sealed, do you know who wanted a deviation and changes after all the the agreements and clauses? When the letters between both parties were exposed to show factua proofs of the truth in our newspapers Mahathir was unhappy about the real facts disclosed to the public. Your home news did not reveal the letters so do you know all? They ran pages in our newspapers. |

| Hi Champwarrior, it's not the size that matters but the leadership of the country. There r other countries smaller or bigger than S'pore that are doing well. I don't have to name them, you know your Geography I'm sure. If we had crappy leaders, we will sink so we can't afford that.Our island was swampland after the British left, it wasn't entirely developed. Drugs, theft, the usual bad habits. Our then PMLee and his dedicated men created S'pore's transformation into a world-respected country. |

| The contract is sealed but there were section in the agreement that give us permition to review the price at certain time. We also received info about water issue. Our leader answer ever single question thrown at our government by your government.The info given to you is base on your side only. I read both news and understand the situation. To prevent lost we stop buying clean water from singapore. but we still need to subsidies and reserve huge area to collect water for singapore. |

| Berriwine, leadership is important. If you said your home was a swamland than Malaysia would be a huge jungle. The tiger still running around freely in the jungle of JB.My mother is singaporeans. she shows me the pictures of singapore from 1950-1970's. Compare it with Johor bahru and Kuala Lumpur which both is the biggest city in malaysia we are out of league. your development is 20 years advance from ours at that period of time. |

Btw, have you read the TheStar/Asia Network, New Sunday Times dated 1/2 Sept 08 on 'Public money down the drain and millions spent unnecessarily by KL govt?' Something to think about. |

| I appreciate your reply, thank you. Currently, there's a lot of undercurrent in your country. In S'pore, we don't condone anyone putting down another person's race, religion, etc. No one thinks twice about them being arrested. I'm Chinese, but we r Singaporeans first. Previously, a Chinese blogger flaming another race got himself arrested. We're fine about this bcuz we don't condone such rude and socially demeaning behavior ourselves.We're a multi-faceted counry so we act together. |

| em you are a good persons berriwine but sometimes live is cruel.berriwine you should try to make friends with malay in singapore, and if you are close enough you may ask them what they felt living in singapore.Try to ask them what kind of treatment the government provide to them. I have relative that complaining about the treatment they received. those complaint also came from friends and other malay singaporean logger that comment for certain video in the youtube. |
