Michael (James) Whale is a British radio and television broadcaster, born on 13 May 1951 in Ewell, Surrey, England. Whale has won three Sony Radio Awards, and on 1st October 2007, his autobiography Almost a Celebrity: A Lifetime of Night-Time was published. In May 2008, he was sacked from Talksport for calling on his listeners to vote for Boris Johnson in the London mayoral election.
This illegal action by the UK gov't, trouncing the rule of law in the birthplace of the Magna Carta sounds the alarm bell for all those who believe that the Western world is free of corruption and encroaching tyranny.
He is interviewed, ironically, by the man who woke him up as a regular guest and encouraged him to speak out on the New World Order.

Really boring, as most folks from the UK are really reserved, but they're both funny guys. I also rate it high because of the irony involved.

James Whale was boring. He liked the sound of his own voice too much, didn't get on with it (much like the American presenter in this clip who takes an eternity to deliver the simple message that James Whale had been sacked). James Whale was also not the most intelligent of people, and not the nicest either. I won't miss him at all.

The guy deserved to be sacked: he broke the law! Why should the radio station pay the price? And if James Whale didn't like the law, he should have done something about the law, rather than just break the law.

Yes, he is arrogant, rude and annoying. He is also very intellegent and has a well developped sense of right and wrong. I don't agree on everything he said, especially on single mothers - he did say some rude things about us. But James Whale is a honest man, and cares about social justice. His program was interesting and tackled subjects other presenters were afraid to touch. Bring back The Whale! Now!

I like james whale but this guy is just a typical ignorant american twat. What the fuck does an american know about free speech? Their country has been a theocracy for decades. THE BBC IS INDEPENDENT, INDEPENDENTLY REGULATED AND TOTALLY IMPARTIAL. Would Paxman tell you who to vote for? No. So obviously any radio presenter should also refrain from political interference. This is the difference between Britain and the USA, in Britain we still have impartial media.

I have to laugh when people claim Boris Johnson was the anti-establishment candidate. But the point is Whale didn't get sacked by the Government he was sacked by Talksport! Ofcom have no powers to sack radio presenters. If Whale doesn't blame the radio station as he says in this clip, why is he taking them to court?
