| how often do you relax your hair? I've been going 8 weeks at least, but I'm stretching for the first time to ten weeks (due for one on the 17th of this month). Do you self relax or go to a professional? |

| So i decided that I wanted to go natural. Just made the decision.I am due for a perm in like a week. I've also decided not to use hair glue anymore so im just wearing a ponytail for the time being. My question is what are some good products I could use on my hair while transitioning? |

| I set my hair wet using bantu knots. My hair is natural & short (I have kept it short since I transitioned). After shampooing & conditioning, I apply leave-in conditioner & shea butter/jojoba oil moisturizer. Then, I section off my hair into banana clips & twist my hair into bantu knots using aloe vera gel or setting lotion. Sometimes I 2-strand twist into a bantu knot. I have lots of 4a thick, coarse hair; so, I keep a spray bottle of water nearby to re-wet my hair that hasn't been set yet. |

| Beautiful & informative vid! Thx for sharing. My last relaxer was abt 2 yrs ago; so, I have fully transitioned. I like Bantu knot outs, too. They work well for me as a wet set ... esp since I keep my hair fairly short for now (~ 3-4 inches stretched). I remember my mom & grandmom pincurling my hair as a child. Thx for the reminder ... I wl have to show my teen how to pincurl! Love how you have 3 pincurling techniques ... I only knew abt the flat pincurl method. |

| ROFL ... I remember figuring out how to do it just after getting my do did after leaving the stylist back when my hair was relaxed. I would just sleep on my forearm (which was on top of my pillow) so that my head was on it's side near my wrist. LOL! Of course, I moved out of this position sometime during the night ... but, it did preserve my style better if I was too lazy to roll it up. The satin pillowcase is a style/hair saver, too. |
