| The building was originally constructed as NBC Radio City in 1942... it was home of KGO until 1954 and KPO/KNBC/KNBR until 1967. A regional office of ABM Janitorial Services is housed at 420 Taylor St. today. |

| In 1985, KBHK moved from 420 Taylor St to 444Califonia Street near the Nob Hill area. after KBHK was sold to Viacom/CBS circa 2001-2002, they were forced out of their studios on CA st and merged with KPIX at their building on 855 Battery St which is ironically across the street from KNTV's San Francisco Bureau on 844 Battery St. |

| How come the station's city of license was Concord, east of Oakland? How can the FCC recorded a TV station's location, despite it represents San Francisco? Concord faces the region's tallest mountain: Mount Diablo. Ok, that explains it, no need to ask. KBHK 44 was received very clear in points east: Stockton and Sacramento. Another independent station sold its soul to a TV network, now the CW and has 3 co-stations: Hollister/ salinas (ch. 40), Sonora (ch. 51) and Ukiah/ClearLake (ch. 19). + |

| I once took a "television" course at De Anza where we learned the fundamentals of how a television station works. Well, what I learned was that a television company buys the rights to tv programming for example: Seinfeld, to air for like a year, and if ratings are high, then, Seinfeld stays on, along with more money (from good ratings) to buy "recent" episodes of that show. Old cartoons like Bugs Bunny are "cheap" to buy for air time, for some reason? |
