| Haunting. Honestly, I think this (the native american flute) is the most beautiful sound ever produced by an instrument on earth. After that I would place the quena, salterio and didjeridoo, though didjeridoo is a more dronning and rough sound, but all of those instruments have an enormous beauty in their sounds: The haunting peace and melancholy of men. |

| You mean the shakuhashi? Well, I just began with the quena, which comes from Peru/Bolivia and is quite similar, or at least related to shakuhashi. Unfortunately it's more expensive to buy a shakuhashi than a quena, so I bought the quena :p |

| You must be oblivious to South-American history. Incans, Mayans, Aztecs, etc. were imperialists that expanded their empires through bloody warfare. Their civilizations also had the requisite ecological ramifications: deforestation, pollution, soil erosion, exhaustion of arable lands, etc. |
