| I live in an Area that's filled with Ethiopians. We call them cockroaches. They're freaking everywhere. Most of the men work as cabbies and I have no idea what the women do, but those cabbies are rude drivers and park wherever the hell they want. The language is also annoying to listen to and the girls swear they're hot shit. they're not crooks or criminals like Black Americans, but they're still annoying as fuck. |

| Eritrea was forcibly federated with Ethiopia in 1952, all because of the "cold war" policy the US had with the Soviets. They felt federating Eritrea with their puppet regime in Ethiopia, wouldn't allow the Soviets to influnce Eritrea. After Eritrea was federated, Ethiopia went forth and annexed it and illegally turned it into a province of Ethiopia. The US turned a blind eye on Eritrea and funded Ethiopia for decades as to wipe out Eritrean rebels who demanded their independence. |

| The irony in this story is; the puppet US monarchy in Ethiopia was toppled and a Soviet backed government took hold. The Soviets pumped billions of dollars into Ethiopia. They sent 15,000 Cuban ground troops to fight along with Ethiopian troops and thousands of soviet military advisors to train and command the million man army in Ethiopia. All of this was sent to stop the independent rebel movement in Eritrea and to clamp down on Ethiopia's population who didn't like the government. |

| This strategy didn't work, the Eritrean rebel movement swelled to 110,000 and were able to withstand the combined Soviet/Cuban and Ethiopian onslaught. Once the Soviets economically collapsed under the cold war with the US, they stopped funding Ethiopia and soon Eritrean rebels liberated all of Eritrea and took their protege rebel group in Ethiopia and entered the capital of Ethiopia to end the US's wrongful 50 year policy on Eritrea. |

| Soon after Eritrea got her independence, it started a campaign of Self-reliance policy, meaning, no loans or hand outs from any western nations. This policy clashed with Ethiopia's new government (which was the Eritrean rebels portege)- They believed in loans & western aid to combat poverty. The problem here is, due to Eritrea's annexation, they shared the same currency with Ethiopia. If Ethiopia was going the loan and aid route, it severally conflicted with Eritrea's self-reliance policy. |

| If Ethiopia took a loan and shared the same currency with Eritrea, a nation that didn't believe in taking loans and aids, this loan being taking out by Ethiopia has to be repayed by Eritrean people aswell who have nothing to do with it. So this resulted in Eritrea coming out with its own currency, which Eritrea's protege government in Ethiopia thought was the last straw. So they started harrasing Eritreans near border towns and even killing Eritrean officers. |

| They killed the Eritrean officers who came to talk with Ethiopian officals over a new created map that had Eritrean towns and villages under Ethiopia. Once they entered the town, they were killed by Ethiopian officers. This act was not suprisingly condemned by the US and so, having no faith in the US and UN to safeguard the sovereignty of Eritrea, they sent a very small military operation to kick out the Ethiopian officers out of Eritrean border towns. |

| This provocation started by Ethiopia, which claimed Eritrean towns as theirs was nothing more than a smokescreen to hurt Eritrea's economy throw military action. They were still bitter for Eritrea having their own currency and having a thriving economy. So after loosing 123,000 of their troops, they finally decided to go to court and the courts rulled, the town they started the war over was an Eritrean town, leaving them and their American supporter to shame. |

It gives Ethiopia 2 billion dollars in aid each year & is supporting it on the illegal occupation of Eritrean towns that were rulled by internationl courts as being Eritrean. The final result of the border war came in a court room, where Eritrea was rewarded Badme, (the small town alegidly the war started over) in which Ethopian leaders signed agreeing to the court's rulling but yet have done nothing to keep their end of the bargin. Military experts believe another war may very well brake out do to Ethiopia's carelessness and bitterness towards its smaller, yet, stronger militarily neighbor of Eritrea.
