I am one of the biggest Pumpkins fans alive...and even I hated most of Zeitgeist. And I saw them at Live Earth, and it just wasn't that good...:( Give me Mellon Collie/Siamese/Gish/Adore era anyday! (even Machina ruled)

I think that "Zeitgeist" was pretty good, but it could've been better. "American Gothic" was better because it seemed to carry more emotion than "Zeitgeist" did. Even though James & D'arcy won't return to the Pumpkins, according to the latest blog that Corgan wrote on the Pumpkins' official website, I think that they're still a great band.

I think zeitgeist is a half decent album, but in my opinion, it goes like this: 1. Siamese Dream 2. Mellon Collie and the infinate sadness 3. Gish 4. Adore 5. Piscies Iscariot (i know its a b-sides/rarities album, but its amazing)

I don't see why Mellon Collie and Siamese Dream aren't flipped. Mellon Collie has many more songs that seem to be more well developed and more magical.

I agree it lacks that classic "Pumpkin" sound..but in places, "Zeit" rocks. I can listen to J.C. anytime. And after seeing them in NYC on Nov6.I can see why Iha wanted no part of a comeback/reunion. Corgan must be tough to get along with day after day. Great show till the final 20 mins, then I witnessed a band lose a crowd to the point of booing. I was stunned... They had a good run, and like ALL bands...peek. Some level off. Others die. Some should stay dead. In this case..im glad they didnt.

The Golden Age of ... ( 1 week ago by Faolan18)
The Golden Age of the Smashing Pumpkins. They've always been my favourite band, but I decided not to go to the Zeitgeist Tour, it just wouldn't be the band I grew up with. Pumpkin bias aside I honestly think its a very uninspired album, But what about American Gothic? different but definitely a slight return to the Billy who wrote Mellon Collie and Siamese Dream.

1:Siamese Dream 2:Gish 3:Mellon Collie 4:adore 5:Machima COME ON!! i fucking love smashing pumpkins, but G.L.O.W. is horrible. Plus it being made for guitar hero makes the idea of it worse. Zeitgeist is alright.
