um people from all over the world (engineers, architects, workers..etc) came to work there to build that magnificent place, including us (westerners)..but we did not by any means "do it for them" ... just like any building project in any country, they wanted good brains and hardworkers, regardless of their nationalities to come and work. So, yes, some of those workers were us, but we were PAID to go over there...

So just like any other project in any other country, resumes were looked at, and the best candidates were hired (without any discrimination-nationality and race had nothing to do with it) to help execute what they wanted.

Alot of the workers were Arabs, some were Canadians, Americans, Indians, Asians..who cares? They were all motivated by: they needed jobs and the u.a.e happened to be excellent employers offerring great pay and packages. But THEY came up with their ideas to fit THEIR country, needs, people and cultures. We (the west) didnt "do it for them" . They were offerring jobs for its construction, and we (among many others) applied for those jobs...etc..etc...
